the best family place with amazing beaches and a family atmosphere is Halkidiki in northenn greece. The bad thing is that the best places and tips wont be online (its greece we are talking about) and the only things you can find online are usually the very touristic ones. Its worth the try, the place is beautiful, busy but at the same time quiet. Have fun
ps. for example for something mainstream but really nice i would suggest the villages Afytos and Marmaras (the others around them are nice too)-google the names and good luck. The other option is something more quiet (if you rent a car you can move around to the villages around that are not so quiet) i would suggest the awsome wooden bungallows in places like http://www.lacara-camp.gr/default_eng.html and http://www.thalattacamp.gr/site.php?&file=index.xml&lang=eng. For something more luxurious try http://www.saniresort.gr/page/default.asp?la=1&id=6
i hope i helped
Try a travel agent…they seem to find some great fares for family. You can also try calling the airlines you will be flying on. No rain in Greece and I have been there several times over the last 8 years.
try the Club Cantabrica website (unsure of address) – they do great family holidays…either by plane or coach…we have had some great hols with them when the children were young. they go to Greece, Spain & France that i know off….probably more if you ask them. happy holidays!!
Go to your local independent travel agents who have their finger on all the different companies, bear in mid that whatever webb site you visit will only offer you their product. There are some good last minute deals at the moment but even so you will be paying August prices so look for an apartment, always cheaper than a Hotel and maybe check Jerez or Seville for cheaper flights as Malaga is already quite busy, a car hire will also help you explore, that is if you are wanting to go to the South of Spain which at the moment seems to be having the most stable weather. But do not forget to pack your sunblock
take a charter from london to samos, than:
boat to samos to patmos(2 hours) than :
rent a studio for 2+2 people here : http://www.apolapsi.gr/ 75 euro each day (phone to mr.floros vanvakos)
you’ll have a very nice holiday
Try http://www.sunshine.co.uk Rhodes, Kos & Crete are probably the cheapest to look for…do remember that a Greek 4* Hotel is more like a 3* so i would never book less than a 4*
